Firm, smooth, curved, undulating hips... pounding drumbeats in my head
She chooses me for this ritual dance... words need not be said
Seductive, salacious, fertile, hypnotic primitive beats
African Latin rhythm... feeling the earth beneath our feet
Nothing else matters... life is so clear
Her old soul and mine are now oh so near
I feel her body writhing closer and closer in unison with mine
We become one with all men and all women as our spirits entwine
Our feet pound out the drumbeats as we circle all around
We hear the journey of mankind in this primitive sound
My arms, our bodies, her legs and mine... yearning loins in the heat of need
Entranced, feverish... beseeching the gods to bestow their blessing on our seed
We feel the approving eyes of the village as sweat begins to pour
...so we reach deep into our hearts and give them even more
Through her eyes locked on mine I see generations yet to be
My heart is no longer heavy... this dance has set me free.
